Basic Information of Himalayan International Residential School
School DescriptionHimalayan International Residential School (HIRS) is a completely residential, co-educational, public school located outside the township of Siliguri in North Bengal. Its enormous 126-acre, tree-clad campus with its vast green playing fields nestling in a picturesque bend of the river Karthwa just below the foothills of the mighty Himalayas is an ideal location for the nurture of young bodies, minds and souls in the lap of Nature.
Admission details for Himalayan International Residential School
A student can be registered with the School by depositing the Registration Form along with the specified Registration & Processing Fee(Please note that registration is only valid for the year for which the child is registered and is neither refundable nor transferable. Moreover, the mere fact of registration does not guarantee admission which is subject to testing, interview and the rules given below.).
Registered candidates will be expected to take tests/interviews in various subjects.
Failure to attend the Admission Test/Interview will cause the registration to lapse. (In such a case, the candidate’s registration will be considered null and void and the Registration Fee paid will be forfeited).
For admission in class I, a student should be about 5+ years of age in the month of April in the year of admission. Thus, for admission to class V the age should be about 9+ years and so on.
i. Classes I – IV: Oral test
ii. Classes V – VII: Written tests (Eng & Maths)
iii. Classes VIII & IX: Written tests (Eng, Maths, 2nd Lang & Science)
iv. Class XI (Science): Written tests (Eng, Phy, Chem, Math)
v. Class XI (Commerce): Written test (Eng)
Note: All candidates will be interviewed after the tests.
The results will be compiled strictly on merit and subject to the provisions contained herein by the Admissions Committee, following which, seats will be offered to the candidates in order of merit.
For Students opting for CBSE
Std. 1 to Std. 3 - Rs. 64,000 for each term.
Std. 4 to Std. 8 - Rs. 78,500 for each term.
Std. 9 to Std. 10 - Rs. 95,000 for each term.
For Students opting for Cambridge International Examinations
IGCSE - Rs. 1,05,000 each term.
AS/A LEVEL - Rs. 1,05,000 for each term.
